Comedy & Community

May 21 @ 7:00 am - 10:00 pm

A night of comedy, community and great cocktails. We’ll talk about belonging in this new neighborhood gem. Tickets free. Donations welcome.

A Night of Comedy & Belonging

Join us for an intimate evening of a COMEDY followed by a conversation about home and belonging, at a new creative space on Georgia Avenue: Three Whistles.

The night begins with a casual social hour—time to meet neighbors, share stories, and settle into community—before transitioning into a stand-up showcase where comedians dive into layers of home and belonging.

Through sharp humor and personal storytelling, featured comics explore identity, migration, family, culture, and the in-between spaces we all navigate. Expect perspectives that are heartfelt, unfiltered, and genuinely funny—where laughter becomes a way of making sense of where we come from and where we’re going.

This event also serves as a prelude to an upcoming experiential one-woman show, MAKE AMERICA HOME, featuring Rola Z set to open at Atlas Performing Arts Center June 14th, as part of Atla Arts Lab.

Schedule:

7pm Social Hour: Come early, grab a drink, and connect

8pm Comedy Show: A curated lineup of DC comedians who have performed at DC Improv, The Kennedy Center, Howard Theater.

Meet people and build community in a welcoming, creative space

Experience comedy that goes beyond surface-level laughs

Be part of the early energy leading into a larger theatrical work

Registration to attend the show is COMPLIMENTARY and all attendees have a 2-item-minimum from a selection of great food, cocktails, and more.

Come for the community, stay for the comedy—and maybe leave with a new sense of what “home” can be.
